Bowmore 1964 38 Years Old Bourbon Cask Whisky

Bowmore 1964 38 Years Old Bourbon Cask Whisky – one of only 300 bottles distilled on 11 November 1964 and subsequently matured for 38 years in bourbon casks. This Bowmore classic is presented in a high-quality, lockable wooden box.

This bottle is part of a trilogy of three rarities distilled in 1964 (“Wood Trilogy”), which were laid down to mature in different cask types (American Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and Fino Sherry) in order to be able to compare the tastes with otherwise identical distillation and storage conditions.

The Bowmore distillery was founded as early as 1779 on the Scottish island of Islay and produces, among other things, the famous Black Bowmore – a particularly popular rarity among whiskies. The peaty environment together with storage in warehouses, some of which are surrounded by 1.5 metres of salt water at high tide, give Bowmore its very own characteristics.
