Dom Pérignon Vintage 2000 Champagne Andy Warhol Collection

Dom Pérignon Vintage 2000 Champagne Andy Warhol Tribute Collection – red, yellow and blue – a tribute to Warhol’s iconic colour schemes.

Dom Pérignon traditionally brings out the current vintages of the Blanc and Rosé as limited special editions at Christmas and these carry designs by famous artists. The first of these editions was dedicated to Andy Warhol in 2000. This was followed by designs by various other artists, such as David Lynch, Björk and Lenny Kravitz.

Andy Warhol is considered one of the most important artists of the 20th century and was a co-founder of the pop art movement. In one of his 1981 diary entries he recounted the story of a group of 20 men who met to buy 2,000 bottles of Dom Pérignon together, lay them down and then drink them together after the year 2000. It was a running gag as to which of them would actually end up doing it. Dom Pérignon was also a favourite drink at the legendary New York club, Studio 54, where many wild parties were held back in the 70s.

Dom Pérignon commissioned the Design Laboratory of the Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design to redesign the 2000 edition in the style of Andy Warhol’s art. This resulted in a unique collection of three bottles, each with its own label in red, blue or yellow.
