Suntory Yamazaki 12 Years Single Malt Japanese Whisky
Suntory Yamazaki 12 Years Japanese Whisky – a first class single malt from Japan. It is matured for 12 years in Spanish, American and Japanese oak casks and impresses with a rich and distinctive taste – a popular alternative to classic single malt Scotch whiskies.
The Yamazaki whisky distillery is owned by Japanese beverage producer Suntory. Yamazaki is located at the foot of Mount Tennozan – an area that has excellent water quality. The three rivers Katsura, Kiez and Uji run through here. The air humidity reaches high levels. These conditions contribute to the distinctive taste of the whisky distilled there. Yamazaki was opened back in 1923 and is the first malt whisky distillery in Japan.
Japanese whiskies have experienced an enormous price increase for several years and are highly sought after by investors. This is not least because whisky expert Jim Murray, among others, has given it excellent ratings.
