Bowmore 1988 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Port Cask Matured. This whisky matured for 21 years in port wine casks and was bottled at cask strength in 2009. It impresses with its ruby red colour, its fruity/spicy taste of stewed plums and its long, warm finish.

The Bowmore distillery was founded as early as 1779 on the Scottish island of Islay and produces, among other things, the famous Black Bowmore – a particularly popular rarity among whiskies. The peaty environment together with storage in warehouses, some of which are surrounded by 1.5 metres of salt water at high tide, give Bowmore its very own characteristics.
