Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix Whisky 2010
Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix Whisky – a limited special bottling from 2010, consisting of bourbon and oloroso casks aged between 13 and 30 years.
The special feature of this bottling: A massive snowstorm in January 2010 caused four warehouses at the Glenfiddich distillery to collapse. To commemorate this historic event, the whisky was created from casks recovered there. The result is a unique single malt Scotch whisky from a wide variety of casks (both sherry casks and American oak casks) of different ages (13-30 years) with an alcohol content of 47.6% ABV.
The name “Snow Phoenix” underscores the historic characteristics of this whisky. According to Glenfiddich, this type of bottling will not be available again as a limited edition. Moreover, Glenfiddich has dedicated this whisky to the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team.
