Remy Martin Louis XIII 1.5 l. Magnum Bot. 1980s Cognac

Remy Martin Louis XIII 1.5 l. Magnum Bot. 1980s Cognac in a Baccarat Crystal Decanter. This is an old bottling from the 1980s and the flagship from the house of Remy Martin. It contains 40 to 100-year-old eaux-de-vie. The cognac from the Grande Champagne region was served at Queen Elizabeth’s royal banquet at Versailles Palace. The composition of this fine cognac has been a closely guarded secret for many generations. Louis XIII Cognac is matured in Lercons casks.

Remy Martin is a brand of spirits producer Remy Cointreau and is based in the city of Cognac in France. The cognacs are available in many different levels of quality. Louis XIII is the highest quality and has been in production since 1894. Its handmade decanter is made of Baccarat crystal and is rounded with pointed fins. This is a replica of a bottle found on the edge of a battlefield of a 16th century battle near Cognac in 1850. The cognacs are presented in various imposing, mostly red packaging. The particularly exquisite material underlines the Art Deco style of the 1930s, when Louis XIII became known as the worldwide “King of Cognac”.

In terms of taste, the Remy Martin Louis XIII can be described as being very intense. The aromas continue to resonate for up to an hour.

An excellent cognac with a high collector’s value.
